E Ink reports 2014 revenues
E Ink Holdings (EIH) has reported its fourth-quarter 2014 consolidated revenues reached NT$3.717 billion (US$118.8 million) while its revenues for 2014 reached NT$14.571 billion.
The company previously said it has made extensive efforts to turn profitable by releasing new products and focusing on niche markets, most notably in emerging markets, while many players are exiting are the market.
Approximately 70-80% of EIH’s sales come from non-LCD applications while 10-20% come from LCD related products. The percentage related to LCD applications dropped in the second half due to the company focusing more on products used outside of the e-book reader industry.
EIH noted it is optimistic about EPD opportunities in the smartphone and wearables market.
