Foxconn revenues down 14% on month in May
Foxconn Electronics has reported revenues of NT$301.6 billion (US$9.71 billion) for May, down 14.4% from the previous month but up 12.6% from a year earlier. For the first five months of 2015 revenues amounted to NT$1.668 trillion, increasing 15.4% on year.
Foxconn attributed the sequential sales declines to seasonal factors which affected shipments of consumer electronics products, but added that sales of PC and telecommunication products remain steady in May.
Foxconn is expected to see its revenues continue to slide during the June-July period before staging an up-pick in September when it begins to ship next-generation iPhone products, according to market watchers.
