Harris Corp. receives $27M in orders for Falcon II radios
Harris Corp. has received $27 million in orders from the U.S. Special Operations Command for its Falcon III tactical radios.
U.S. Special Operations Command is acquiring additional Falcon III wide band and handheld radios as it continues to deploy its tactical communications network. The radios enable Special Operations Forces to extend secure wide band networking, in addition to terrestrial and ground-to-air communications.
“The Harris Falcon III radios enable Special Operations Forces to stay connected wherever the tactical edge happens to be,” said George Helm, president of Department of Defense business at Harris RF Communications. “Our products include a full suite of DOD wave forms to provide interoperability across all branches of the U.S. Department of Defense.”
