Integra Expands Value-Added Services for VCC Indicators
Anaheim, Calif. – Integra Electronics, an authorized specialty distributor, has expanded its indicator light design and assembly capabilities to better support standard and custom light indication products from VCC. The expanded services, as part of Integra’s Special Manufacturing Program (SMP), support customers that need short-run, value-added products.
As part of the extended partnership, Integra has increased its VCC product line inventory. The distributor also provides technical guidance on the VCC family of indicator products, including light pipes and panel lenses, to ensure that demanding indication requirements are met.
Integra supports customers with value-add services and cable assemblies, including more complex product solutions. By leveraging VCC’s engineering expertise with its SMP competencies, the distributor is able to offer faster prototype to production, ensuring that customer development programs stay on schedule.
VCC is positioned as one of the broadest product line manufacturers of indicators, expanding its product portfolio beyond LED technologies to include neon and incandescent lamps thanks to two previous acquisitions – indication and illumination product lines from Chicago Miniature Lighting and the Leecraft and Littelites indicator product lines from Lighting Concepts and Solutions.
In addition to standard products, VCC offers custom product development but tends to focus more on modified standard parts while having distributors do more of the value-added services such as cable assemblies and harnesses.
“By partnering with VCC on light delivery products, Integra can better support customers with short-run, value-add products by VCC, along with technical guidance on the VCC family of indicator products, including light pipes and panel lenses,” said Mark Baker, Director of Business Development at Integra Electronics, in a statement.
In addition, Integra Electronics provides inventory management services such as custom bar coding, bonded inventory, and automatic replenishment programs.
