Sikorsky Aircraft Lands Hefty DoD Contract
Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation was the biggest winner of all the companies that received work contracts from the Department of Defense (DoD) on Friday, netting a maximum $480 million firm-fixed-price Defense Logistics Agency contract for spare parts that will be used in H-53 and H-60, and other various platforms.
The contract is for five years and includes a five-year option. It was landed as a sole source acquisition.
All work will be performed in Connecticut, where Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation is based. The project has a performance completion date of June 30, 2020.
The Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and federal civilian agencies will be using military services resulting from the project.
