Yageo, Chilisin report increased September revenues
Yageo, a manufacturer of MLCCs and chip resistors, has announced consolidated revenues for September 2015 grew 5.8% sequentially and 1.4% from a year ago to NT$2.48 billion (US$76.5 million).Yageo indicated that sales increased in Europe, Asia Pacific and Greater China in September, while demand softened in North America compared with the previous month.
In terms of product applications, sales from the PC, consumer electronics and industrial sectors increased while the telecom product segment slipped.Yageo’s cumulative 2015 revenues through September totaled NT$20.98 billion, up 0.8% from a year earlier.Chilisin Electronics, the inductor-making subsidiary of Yageo, reported NT$413 million in consolidated revenues for September. The figure showed growth of 3% on month and 14% on year.Chilisin has totaled NT$3.58 billion in year-to-date revenues, up about 20% compared to the same period in 2014.In other news, Yageo and Chilisin have both issued company filings with the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TSE) indicating they have not provided revenue and profit guidance for 2015. A recent Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN) report quoted market watchers as saying both Yageo and Chilisin are set to report EPS of more than NT$4 for the year.
